uncrumbling: facelessbodies - performance

“If we recognise that sexuality will always mean not being able to live up to demands, ideals and how-tos, we are much freer than if we constantly postulate new norms…” (Ann-Christin Tlusty)

The female read body has always been defined by its expectations. Expectations of how we navigate relationships, how we look, how we dance, speak and live. The queer body resists the norms of femininity – which can be both a cage and an opportunity.

The sexpositive piece oscillates between spoken word, contemporary dance and performative and interactive elements, which merge with a haunting soundtrack to create a vortex between intimacy, vulnerability and connectedness.
